Our Preventive & General Dentistry Services

Consultations & Digital Diagnostics

We begin with thorough consultations, listening to your concerns and understanding your oral health goals. Utilizing advanced digital diagnostics, including digital X-rays and 3D imaging, we gain a precise understanding of your oral health. This allows for accurate diagnoses and the development of personalized treatment plans. Digital diagnostics offer more detailed images, enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of treatments.

Routine Cleanings & Check-ups

Regular check-ups and cleanings are essential for preventing dental problems and maintaining a healthy smile. Our skilled hygienists will gently and effectively remove plaque and tartar, polish your teeth, and provide fluoride treatments.   Dr. Bae will conduct a comprehensive examination to detect any early signs of decay, gum disease, or other oral health issues.

Oral Cancer Screenings

We perform thorough oral cancer screenings as part of your routine check-up. Early detection of oral cancer is crucial for successful treatment. Our team is trained to identify any suspicious lesions or abnormalities and provide prompt referrals if necessary.

Custom Nightguards & Sports Mouthguards

Protect your teeth from the effects of teeth grinding (bruxism) with a custom-fitted nightguard. If you participate in sports, a custom-made sports mouthguard can protect your teeth from injury. These custom appliances offer superior comfort and protection compared to over-the-counter options. A sports guard protects your smile while playing contact sports. A night guard stops you from grinding or clenching teeth while you sleep.

Guided Biofilm Therapy

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is an advanced, non-invasive dental cleaning technique that uses a special powder and air-polishing system to effectively remove plaque and stains. A key component of GBT is Airflow Plus powder, a specially formulated powder combined with water and air to gently eliminate dental biofilm and surface stains. Applied using an air-polishing device, the powder targets areas where plaque and bacteria accumulate. GBT is gentle, safe, and customizable to each patient’s needs, promoting better oral health, reducing the risk of gum disease, and improving overall hygiene.

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a condition where the airway repeatedly collapses during sleep, causing pauses in breathing and leading to poor oxygen flow. From a dental perspective, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is often linked to jaw position, tongue posture, and airway space. In this case, an oral appliance is a custom device which repositions the lower jaw and tongue to keep the airway open. This helps prevent airway obstruction, reduces snoring, and improves breathing quality. It’s a comfortable and effective alternative to CPAP for mild to moderate sleep apnea cases.

Fluoride

Fluoride treatment is a gel, foam, or varnish that gets applied topically during a routine cleaning and check-up visit. Concentrated fluoride solution is applied to the teeth to help strengthen enamel and prevent cavities to help remineralize weakened areas of the enamel and makes teeth more resistant to decay, especially in individuals at higher risk for cavities.

CBCT

A CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) X-ray is a 3D imaging technique used in dentistry to capture detailed images of the teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. Unlike traditional X-rays, CBCT provides more comprehensive (3D) views, helping dentists plan treatments for procedures like implants, extractions, and root canals. It uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to create detailed, cross-sectional images, allowing for more precise diagnosis and treatment planning.

Oral Sedation for Anxiety Relief

Oral sedation is a safe and effective method used to help patients relax during dental procedures, especially for those who experience anxiety or discomfort. The patient takes a prescribed medication before their appointment, which helps them feel calm and at ease. While awake and responsive, they remain relaxed throughout the procedure, making dental visits more comfortable and stress-free.
