Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is an advanced, non-invasive dental cleaning technique that uses a special powder and air-polishing system to effectively remove plaque and stains. A key component of GBT is Airflow Plus powder, a specially formulated powder combined with water and air to gently eliminate dental biofilm and surface stains. Applied using an air-polishing device, the powder targets areas where plaque and bacteria accumulate. GBT is gentle, safe, and customizable to each patient’s needs, promoting better oral health, reducing the risk of gum disease, and improving overall hygiene.
Sleep apnea is a condition where the airway repeatedly collapses during sleep, causing pauses in breathing and leading to poor oxygen flow. From a dental perspective, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is often linked to jaw position, tongue posture, and airway space. In this case, an oral appliance is a custom device which repositions the lower jaw and tongue to keep the airway open. This helps prevent airway obstruction, reduces snoring, and improves breathing quality. It’s a comfortable and effective alternative to CPAP for mild to moderate sleep apnea cases.
Botox for TMJ therapy is used to relax the muscles around the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) to alleviate pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve jaw function. By injecting small amounts of Botox into the jaw muscles, it helps reduce symptoms like jaw pain, headaches, and teeth grinding. The treatment can provide relief for those with TMJ disorders who don't respond well to other therapies.
Oral sedation is a safe and effective method used to help patients relax during dental procedures, especially for those who experience anxiety or discomfort. The patient takes a prescribed medication before their appointment, which helps them feel calm and at ease. While awake and responsive, they remain relaxed throughout the procedure, making dental visits more comfortable and stress-free.
Nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas) is a safe and effective sedation option used in dental procedures to help patients relax and reduce anxiety. Administered through a mask, nitrous oxide provides a calming effect, helping patients feel comfortable and at ease during treatment. It wears off quickly after the procedure, allowing patients to resume normal activities immediately.
The All-on-4® or Teeth In A Day treatment concept is a full-arch tooth replacement solution using at least four strategically placed dental implants to support a fixed prosthetic bridge. This technique maximizes existing bone, often eliminating the need for bone grafting, and provides a stable, natural-looking restoration. All-on-4 allows patients to regain full chewing function and a beautiful smile with a same-day provisional prosthesis being installed on the same day.
A hypoallergenic implant is a metal-free dental implant, typically made from biocompatible zirconia, designed for patients with metal sensitivities or allergies. Unlike titanium implants, zirconia is completely free of metal, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or inflammation. These implants also offer excellent aesthetics with their natural white color, resist plaque buildup for better gum health, and provide long-lasting durability without the risk of corrosion.
No-prep veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of the teeth without the need for extensive enamel removal. Unlike traditional veneers, they require little to no tooth reduction, making the procedure minimally invasive and reversible in some cases. They enhance the smile by improving tooth color, shape, and alignment while preserving natural tooth structure.
Restore your smile in a single visit with our advanced same day crown technology. Using state-of-the-art digital scanning and in-office milling, we create custom, high-quality ceramic crowns while you wait—no temporary crowns, no second appointments. Fast, comfortable, and precise, our same day crowns save you time without compromising on strength or aesthetics.
PRF is a natural healing material made from a small sample of a patients’ own blood. After a quick spin in a centrifuge, we’re left with a concentrated layer rich in platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors—all key elements that support tissue repair and regeneration. We use PRF in many procedures, such as extractions, implants, and bone or gum grafts, to help your body heal faster and more effectively. Because it’s 100% natural and comes from your own body, it enhances healing, reduces inflammation, lowers the risk of infection, and often results in less post-operative discomfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
Dental biofilm is the clinical term for the sticky, nearly invisible film of bacteria that constantly forms on your teeth—you may know it better as plaque. This biofilm is the root cause of most oral health issues. When bacteria in the biofilm feed on sugars from your diet, they produce acids that break down tooth enamel, leading to cavities. If not removed regularly, biofilm can harden into calculus (tartar) and irritate your gums, causing gingivitis (gum inflammation) and eventually periodontitis (gum disease), a serious condition that can lead to tooth loss and has been linked to systemic health problems like heart disease and diabetes.
The most common and effective type of device is a Mandibular Advancement Device, or MAD. During sleep, the muscles in your throat relax, which can cause the soft tissues to collapse and block your airway in people with OSA. The MAD works by fitting precisely over your upper and lower teeth and holding your lower jaw in a slightly forward position. This simple repositioning is enough to pull the tongue and soft tissues forward as well, creating more space in the back of the throat and ensuring your airway remains open and stable all night long.
Bruxism and TMJ disorder are often caused by the powerful, unconscious clenching of the masseter and temporalis muscles, the primary muscles for chewing. This constant hyperactivity leads to muscle pain, headaches, and significant wear and tear on your teeth. BOTOX® is a neuromodulator that, when injected directly into these muscles, works by blocking the nerve signals that cause them to contract so forcefully. This temporarily weakens and relaxes the muscles, reducing their ability to grind and clench with excessive force. The result is significant relief from pain, protection for your teeth, and a reduction in related headaches.
Laughing gas, clinically known as nitrous oxide (N2O), is a colorless, faintly sweet-smelling gas that has been used safely in dentistry for over a century. It is mixed with oxygen and administered through a small mask that rests on your nose. It does not put you to sleep. Instead, it works by slowing down your nervous system to induce a state of calm and euphoria. Patients often describe feeling relaxed, warm, comfortable, and perhaps a little light-headed or tingly. You remain fully conscious and able to communicate with us throughout the entire procedure.
The brilliance of the All-on-4® Teeth In A Day technique lies in its efficiency and ingenuity. Traditionally, replacing a full arch of teeth could require six, eight, or even more implants, and often necessitated extensive bone grafting surgery to build up the jawbone—a process that could add months or years to treatment. The All-on-4® concept is innovative because it maximizes the use of your available bone. By placing the two posterior (back) implants at a precise angle, we can anchor them in the dense bone that typically remains in the front of the jaw. This strategic placement provides incredible stability and often eliminates the need for bone grafts, making the treatment faster, less invasive, and accessible to many more patients.
For many years, titanium alloy has been the industry standard for dental implants due to its strength and ability to integrate with bone. Zirconia implants represent the next evolution in implant material science. The fundamental difference is the material itself: titanium is a gray metal, while Zirconia is a white, non-metallic ceramic. This key difference provides distinct advantages, particularly in the areas of biocompatibility for sensitive patients and in achieving the most natural-looking aesthetic results.
"No-prep" refers to the preparation of the tooth before the veneer is placed. With traditional veneers, a layer of tooth enamel, typically 0.5mm or more, must be shaved down to create space for the porcelain shell. "No-prep" means that for the right candidate, we can place the veneers without this step—no drilling or reduction of your natural tooth is required. The veneers are so technologically advanced and thin that they can be bonded directly onto your existing tooth structure, making the entire process exceptionally gentle and minimally invasive.
The magic is in the CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) technology. The process is entirely digital and happens right here in our office.
Digital Scan (CAD): After preparing your tooth, we use a small 3D camera to take a precise digital "picture." This replaces the need for uncomfortable, goopy impression trays.
Custom Design (CAD): The 3D model of your tooth is uploaded to our software, where we digitally design your new crown with exacting precision, ensuring a perfect shape and bite.
In-Office Milling (CAM): This digital blueprint is sent wirelessly to our in-office milling machine. The machine then automatically and precisely carves your custom crown from a solid block of high-quality, tooth-colored ceramic. This milling process is fascinating to watch and takes only a short amount of time.
PRF is a biocompatible healing material that is created entirely from your own body. The process is simple: just before your scheduled dental surgery, we draw a small amount of blood, just like you would for a routine lab test. This blood sample is then placed in a centrifuge and spun at a specific speed. This process separates and concentrates the most valuable healing components of your blood—the platelets, growth factors, stem cells, and white blood cells—into a dense, sponge-like fibrin matrix. This resulting PRF clot is then immediately ready to be used in your surgical site.
